Privacy Policy
Last updated 14 June 2026
Short version: there are no accounts, no analytics, and no servers storing your data. Everything you enter stays in your own browser.
What we store, and where
- Your setup and preferences (weight, FTP, gearing, tyre, units, theme, target pace) are saved only in your browser’s local storage — the browser cache. They never leave your device and are never sent to us. Clear them any time with your browser’s “clear site data”, or with the in-app Reset button.
- Route files (.gpx / .tcx) you analyse are read and processed entirely in your browser. They are never uploaded or transmitted anywhere.
- Shareable links encode your setup directly in the link itself. The values are not stored on any server — they live only in the link you choose to share, so anyone you send it to can read those values.
What we don’t do
- No accounts, no sign-in, no passwords.
- No tracking cookies and no advertising.
- No analytics, third-party trackers, or fingerprinting.
- No selling or sharing of personal data — we do not collect any to begin with.
Third parties
In the interest of full honesty, a few ordinary web things still happen:
- Webfonts. The page loads fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser makes a request to Google to fetch them, and Google may receive your IP address as part of serving the fonts. Google’s privacy policy applies to that request.
- Hosting. The site is served by our hosting provider, which may keep standard, short-lived server logs (such as IP address and request time) for security and operation, as any website does. We do not use these to identify or track you.
- Social previews. When you paste a share link into a chat or social app, that platform fetches a preview image from the site; the platform’s own privacy practices then apply.
- The vote badge. The forecast page embeds a small badge from AppBuildersPH showing the app’s vote count, so your browser fetches it from them and they may receive your IP address as part of serving it. AppBuildersPH’s privacy policy applies to that request.
Children
The Pain Forecast is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time; the “last updated” date above reflects the current version.
